Ukrainian institute celebrates entry to
UEAtc
Congratulations go to NIISK* the State Research Institute of
Building Construction for the Ukraine, which was formally accepted
as a full member of UEAtc at the Co-ordination Commission meeting
held last week, The institute had successfully completed two years
as an Observer Member of UEAtc, having attended meetings of the
Confirmation and Technical Commissions plus the Enterprise Group.
As an observer at these meetings the institute representatives were
able to participate in technical discussion and contribute from
their national experience. A proposal to enroll the institute as
full member of UEAtc was therefore unanimously accepted.
* NIISK was founded in 1943 and is responsible for the issue of
Technical Certificates for approval of building product use. It is
also charged with research and development in the field of building
structures and associated technologies, being especially concerned
with durability of new buildings and materials; thermal and
acoustic properties of buildings, structures and materials, plus
quality, safety and the environmental impact of building works.
