Ukrainian Observer celebrates first year

NIISK, the State Research Institute of Building Construction for the Ukraine, has now completed the first year as Observer Member of UEAtc, having been introduced by the member for Poland, Instytut Techniki Budowlanej (ITB). NIISK was founded in 1943 and is responsible for the issue of Technical Certificates for approval of building product use. It is also charged with research and development in the field of building structures and associated technologies, being especially concerned with durability of new buildings and materials; thermal and acoustic properties of buildings, structures and materials, plus quality, safety and the environmental impact of building works.
